Classroom materials are a valuable commodity in the humid, moist Amazonian environment.

Paper, crayons and other less durable items break down quickly in the heat and must be replaced on a regular basis.

Books in Spanish for any age level are also a very valuable gift.

Most of the children attending our school are able to show their parents the value of learning to read by bringing books to the home and reading to the entire family.
